Hailing from Taiwan, Heng-Han Hou is a highly sought-after violinist known for his intuitive musicality and captivating performances. Equally at home as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player, he has earned acclaim for his expressive artistry.

A crowning moment in his career was performing in the Coronation Orchestra for King Charles III and Queen Camilla—an honor granted to only two musicians from outside the UK.

Recent solo appearances include Bartók’s Violin Concerto No. 1 with the Kindred Spirits Orchestra in Toronto under Maestro Kristian Alexander, and a featured recital at the Toronto Summer Music Festival’s Shuffle Hour series. He also participated in the Intercultural String Exchange, presenting concerts exploring Arabic, Afro-Cuban, and Métis musical traditions.

Dedicated to education, Heng-Han has held teaching assistantships at the University of Toronto and coached at programs including the Toronto Summer Music, the Lake George Music Festival (U.S.), and the Regina Summer Strings.

He earned his Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance from the University of Toronto in 2022 under the tutelage of Prof. Jonathan Crow. In 2023–2024, he served on faculty at Brandon University and taught the String Literature course at the University of Saskatchewan in 2025.

Since 2020, he has held the Principal Second Violin position with the Regina Symphony Orchestra.
